A creative research presentation to the Social Practice and Community Engagement (SPACE) SYMPOSIUM
The focus in this presentation was to share aspects of Leaning out of Windows and give a sense of the social interactions that have informed what we are calling the Emergence of Co-Thought. The intention was to highlight, in the context of SOCIAL PRACTICE – how LOoW has generated and built community engagement.

This conference is a premier forum for advances in theory, methods, and applications of visualization and visual analytics. The event convenes an international community of researchers and practitioners from universities, government, and industry to exchange recent findings on the design and use of visualization tools.

2019 | Making Images | Visual Literacy: Making, Seeing, Reading Images across the Disciplines | Koenig

Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC

This International Research Roundtable explored how a more holistic and cross-disciplinary engagement with images can open up new avenues of research. This event brought together internationally renowned scholars and practitioners from the sciences, social sciences, humanities, and arts who would not otherwise have occasion for sustained interaction.
