I happened to have the opportunity at CERN to see some work by Giles Jobin – they were dancing just outside our experiment in the AD (Antiproton Decelerator) – and also a talk by Bill Fontana. I would say that both seemed involved and inspired by the residency, and you could see it in their work. I can’t comment on its longer term influence, but I expect it was an interesting experience for them. And outside of CERN, Geneva is not as completely boring as the diplomats suggest.
